A recurring highlight in 2024 was the “Meet Our Energizer!” series for 4TU.Centre for Energy in the Netherlands. This year we spotlighted Annemiek ter Heijne, Eli Shirazi, Cheryl de Boer, and Annemiek Bles.

“We connect the manufacturing industry to create components like battery packs, lightweight solar panels, and energy management systems, highlighting the industry’s evident role in the energy transition.” - Cheryl de Boer
“A lot of (but not all) issues in the energy transition are spatially oriented. However, more connections need to be made to social behaviour, governance, and social awareness. My aim is to co-design decision-supporting and planning tools that include these aspects to address the reception to renewable energy sources in society.” - Eli Shirazi
“My work aims to make our energy systems smarter and more efficient. Modern energy systems handle more diverse generation and load types with different dynamics and characteristics compared to traditional systems.” - Annemiek ter Heijne
“The environment is at the heart of my work. It is about preserving the earth for future generations. One example of this is paying attention to climate change. We need to build a society with sustainable energy.”
