The humanoid robot Zeno was key in the European funded research project DE-ENIGMA, which ran from 2016 – 2018. Zeno helps to teach school-aged autistic children to express emotions, and helps in their development of communicative skills. The robot is able to process children’s movements, vocalisations and facial expressions in order to adaptively present activities linked to emotions, and engage in feedback, support and play.
The international project team of DE-ENIGMA successfully presented robot Zeno to the European heads-of-state at the Tallinn Digital Summit in 2017. I was responsible for the coordination, planning and execution of all communication channels, means and press contacts. As a result, we were able to build on an already excellent reputation. More information about this event can be found on the website Shaping Europe’s digital future.
